Moissanite
Dorton Company, Atlanta's oldest manufacturer of fine Moissanite jewelry, designs their jewelry in solid 14kt, 18kt & platinum. Dorton Company is well known for their heavy gold settings, fine craftsmanship and legendary quality.
Each jewel is individually hand cut to enhance its beauty and may have a slight tinge of color that makes your jewel unique in all the world. Your Moissanite jewel will last for generations to come and its fire, brilliance and luster will never change…guaranteed!
A century ago, Nobel prize winner Dr. Henri Moisson discovered minute quantities of new mineral in an ancient meteorite from the remote Diablo Canyon in Arizona. At its essence was the potential for an absolutely shimmering brilliance, fire, luster, and this incredible moissanite mineral was too limited for use in jewelry.
Inspired by Dr. Moissan's discovery and employing the latest innovations in science, Charles & Colvard has at last found a way to create moissanite for use in jewelry.
